Jump In Thefts Of, From Cars: State Police
These crimes are occurring in residential neighborhoods, made easier when residents leave keys and valuables in their cars, police said.

New York State Police from the Brewster barracks are investigating an increased amount of stolen vehicle complaints and valuables stolen from within vehicles. Over the past several days, vehicles have been reported stolen from Haviland Drive in Brewster and Ridgeview Road in Patterson, police said.
In addition, members of the state police Bureau of Criminal Investigation from Somers are also investigating the theft of a vehicle from Lakeside Drive in the Town of Lewisboro.
These crimes are occurring in residential neighborhoods and are facilitated by residents who leave their car keys and valuables unsecured inside of their cars. The State Police would like to advise residents to always lock their cars and not store valuable property within their cars.
