Septic Repair, Replacement Program Available For Qualified Bedford Area Homeowners

Homeowners have to be income-qualified to take advantage of the program.

KATONAH, NY — A septic repair/replacement program has installed its first replacement septic system in Katonah. Allied Community Enterprises can help homeowners who are income-qualified in Bedford, Lewisboro and Pound Ridge have their septic systems repaired for replaced under a program funded by the state’s Affordable Housing Corporation.

ACE received funding from the Westchester Community Foundation for outreach of the program.

After announcing the program in the spring, there have been about 30 inquiries, ranging from would the program work for them in case of a future system failure to whether expenses already incurred would be covered.
