Severe Thunderstorm Watch Issued For Hudson Valley Friday
There could be damaging winds, large hail and flash flooding from thunderstorms.

A severe thunderstorm watch is in effect for the Hudson Valley. The National Weather Service said the watch will last until 10 p.m. Friday.
It affects Columbia, Dutchess, Orange, Putnam, Rockland, Ulster and Westchester counties.
The NWS previously said there could be damaging winds, large hail and flash flooding from thunderstorms Friday afternoon into Friday night.

A severe thunderstorm watch is issued when conditions are favorable for the development of a thunderstorm that is capable of producing 1 inch hail or large in diameter and/or winds equal to or exceeding 58 miles an hour.
