Snow, Ice In Forecast For Christmas Day: NWS
There are Winter Weather Advisories issued throughout the Hudson Valley.

Winter Weather Advisories have been issued by the National Weather Service for the Hudson Valley for Sunday into Monday. Whether it's snow, ice or a combination varies based on location, however. For Orange, Putnam, Rockland and Westchester counties the advisory is in effect from 6 p.m. Sunday to 1 p.m. Monday.
Freezing rain is forecast, with ice resulting in very slippery conditions on sidewalks, roads and bridges.
Additional ice accumulations of a light glaze to a few hundredths of an inch are expected.

The National Weather Service said that freezing rain may mix with snow at times, resulting in icy road conditions.
Additionally, a Wind Advisory has been issued for Orange, Putnam, Rockland and Westchester counties in effect from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. Christmas Day. Winds are forecast to be 25 to 35 mph with gusts up to 50 mph. Strong winds may blow down limbs, trees and power lines. Scattered power outages are expected.

For Dutchess County, the Winter Weather Advisory is in effect from 10 p.m. Sunday to 4 p.m. Monday.
Snow is expected, mixing with sleet overnight. Motorists can plan on slippery road conditions Monday.
Total snow accumulations of 1 to 3 inches are expected. Reduced visibilities can be expected at times.
For Columbia and Ulster counties, the advisory is also in effect from 10 p.m. Sunday to 4 p.m. Monday, but total snow accumulation of 4 to 6 inches is forecast. Motorists should be prepared for reduced visibilities at times.
