Special Weather Statement Issued For Hudson Valley Friday

Snow squalls could mean reduced visibility.

The National Weather Service issued a Special Weather Statement for the Dutchess, Ulster, Orange, Putnam, Rockland and Westchester counties Friday afternoon.

Scattered snow showers with possible embedded snow squalls are expected to move through the area late Friday afternoon into early evening.

The brief heavy snowfall could mean reduced visibility to below a half mile as well as wind gusts up to around 40 mph.

There could be a quick snow accumulation of up to an inch in spots.

The best chance for snow will be around 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.
