State Police Check 18 Retailers For Alcohol Sales Compliance
The state police said it will continue to conduct underage drinking enforcement details statewide.

New York State Police conducted plain-clothes checks of 18 retail locations in northern Westchester County that sell alcohol to ensure compliance with the state's Alcoholic Beverage Control Law. The enforcement initiative resulted in no arrests for violations of the ABC law or state penal law.
State police said all 18 establishments in the towns of Somers, Lewisboro and North Salem were in compliance.
According to the New York State Office of Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Services, underage drinking is associated with the three most common causes of death among youth, including accidental deaths (e.g., car crashes), homicides and suicides.
