Stuck At Home With The Kids? Most Local Libraries Open At Noon
The fast-moving snowstorm that hit the region overnight canceled some classes, but it might soon be time to occupy idle hands.

BEDFORD, NY — If the first snow day of the season caught you without a good book to curl up with or without any planned activities for the kids who are unexpectedly home from school, most libraries in the area have you covered.
After a brief delay during the height of the snowfall, the Bedford Hills Library, The Ruth Keeler Memorial Library and the Pound Ridge Library will open today at noon. The Lewisboro Library will open at 1 p.m.
The Bedford Free Library and the Katonah Library will remain closed today due to the weather.

Primary and secondary roads are mostly clear in the city, but there are still more than a few slushy and slick spots around town. If you decide to take your bobsled team for an adventure only a library can offer, take it slow to make sure getting there safely is half the fun.
