Superintendent Says Fox Lane MS Coronavirus Case No Risk

The superintendent said the person has not been in the school since Sept. 30.

BEDFORD, NY — An individual from Fox Lane Middle School tested positive for the new coronavirus.

Superintendent Dr. Joel Adelberg said, in a Facebook post to the community, that the person has not been in the school since Sept. 30.

"With guidance and direction from the Westchester County Department of Health, and because this individual has not been in school, there is no risk to our school community," he wrote.

Adelberg said he was informing the district "in the spirit of transparency."

He said the district will continue to monitor any potential risks to students and staff and remain committed to keeping the community informed.
