The Town of Bedford is looking hire a seasonal office/programing assistant to work in the recreation office and to assist with summer preparedness for the pool and camp season.

EXAMPLES OF WORK: (Illustrative Only) Assists office staff in the conduct of a recreation programs; assists with special events, programs, parties, etc.; may operate audio-visual equipment; assists with Senior Citizen programs and events; may assist with the chaperoning of trips and other group activities; will assist with answering phones and accepting fees in the office.May occasionally assist clerical staff by answering phones, accepting fees and preparing mailings during peak times in the office or when clerical staff is on break.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES AND ATTRIBUTES: Familiarity with all types of sports, crafts, and games; familiarity with first aid; ability to comprehend, remember and follow detailedoral directions; ability to understand and carry out written directions; interest in recreation work; creativity; reliability; ability to get along well with others; ability to use a computer and knows how to use Microsoft Office and other related programs.

MINIMUM ACCEPTABLE TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE: None.Season Availability: Mid-March thru Mid-JulyHours: 9:00 am – 4:30 pmSalary: $18.00 – $22.00 per hour
