Trump Campaign Makes Changes to Hudson Valley Rally Details

Before the rally, Trump will stop in Cornwall where he said he received military experience.

The main attraction is the same—Donald J. Trump.

The venue and day is the same—Sunday, April 17 at Poughkeepsie’s Mid-Hudson Civic Center.

But the time is different.

The Republican presidential front-runner has changed the time that his rally in downtown Poughkeepsie to 3 p.m., with the doors opening at noon, according to the campaign website.

The Poughkeepsie Journal reported that Trump’s social media director Dan Scavino said 2:30 p.m. is when the pre-program will start.

Road closures were announced Friday by the City of Poughkeepsie beginning at 6 a.m Sunday.

Mayor Rob Rolison has urged attendees to car pool and take Metro-North if possible. The train station in Poughkeepsie is within walking distance of the Civic Center.

Before the rally in Poughkeepsie, the real estate mogul and reality TV star will stop in Cornwall to visit the New York Military Academy which he attended, according to the Daily Voice.

Trump, who the New York Times said received deferments for the draft during the Vietnam War, has said he had thought he had been in the military because he went to a military-type school.
