The poll also has the businessman with a 12-point lead in Maryland over Republican Texas Senator Ted Cruz.
Former senator and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton is showing a 22 percent lead in Maryland over Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders, who had people waiting outside a packed McCann Arena event at Marist College Tuesday.
The Marist Poll interviewed likely primary voters for the April 26 primary in Maryland to come up with the numbers.
Dr. Lee M. Miringoff, director of The Marist College Institute for Public Opinion, said if Trump and Clinton maintain their leads, they remain “on the path to securing their respective party’s nominations.”
He said, “With two weeks to go to the Maryland primary, their rivals need to find a way to close the gap.”
