Tuesday Storms Leave Power Outages Behind

HUDSON VALLEY, NY — The severe thunderstorms that swept through the Hudson Valley for hours Tuesday afternoon and evening left many pockets of power outages in their wake.

Con Ed reports 2,187 customers out of service. Of those, 1,803 are in northern Westchester and 29 are in southern Westchester. Restoration expected by 3 p.m. Wednesday.

NYSEG reports 689 customers without power. Of those, 365 are in Bedford, 222 in Pound Ridge, 60 in Dutchess County, 22 in Somers, and 20 in Orange County. Restoration expected Wednesday afternoon.

O&R reports only 20 customers out, including a few in Rockland County and a few in Orange. Damage is still being estimated.
