Video: Kate Mara Urges Americans to Think Before Eating Meat
The Bedford native has made a moving video for The Humane Society of the United States against the practice of factory farming.
Actress and Bedford native Kate Mara, who counts herself among the legions of Americans who support better treatment of animals, has made a promotional video for The Humane Society of the United States against the practice of factory farming.
The 2:33-minute video features Mara giving statistics about the health risks meat-based diets can cause to some people, and information - over haunting imagery - against factory farming. The video can be viewed below or the society’s Facebook page.
“It’s pretty simple, every time we sit down to eat, we have a choice,” Mara says. “By choosing more meat-free meals, we’re saying yes to better health, yes to a better environment, and yes to better treatment of animals.”
