Video of Principal Kissing Boy Being Investigated in Kiryas Joel

The Orange County District Attorney wouldn't say whether an investigation is underway.

KIRYAS JOEL, NY - A video that allegedly shows a school principal and a young boy in close physical contact in Kiryas Joel is being investigated by state police.

According to the Journal News, the video shows a man sitting at a desk and drawing the child close him.

At one point, the child is standing between the legs of the man and the man seems to stroke the child’s face and kiss him, the Journal News article said.

Major Joseph Tripodo, commander of New York State Police Troop F, confirmed to forward.com that authorities were examining the video, but a spokesperson for the Orange County District Attorney would not say whether his office was investigating.

The video was posted on Facebook Sunday, according to the New York Daily News, and was viewed 20,000 times by Monday afternoon.

Multiple sources said the yeshiva official is employed by the United Talmudical Academy, the Daily News reported.

The forward.com said Boorey Deutsch, the man who posted the video on Facebook, said it had been removed by Facebook after having been reported as inappropriate.
