Water Main Break Forces Early Dismissal In Bedford
Only two schools were affected by the water main break.
BEDFORD, NY — A water main break has forced the early dismissal of classes for the Fox Lane middle and high schools Thursday. A message posted on the Bedford Central School District website said there is no water pressure, which impacts toilets and all running water.
Superintendent Dr. Christopher Manno said the situation poses a safety and sanitary concern.
"Therefore, we must have an 11 .m. early dismissal for Fox Lane High School and Fox Lane Middle School only," he said.

All after-school and evening activities on the Fox Lane campus are cancelled for Thursday.
Activities in other schools will proceed as scheduled.
