So our already moderate drought like conditions for parts of the region will continue to worsen in the short term.

And the 7-day forecast shows that with the upcoming change in season, summer is slowly giving way to cloudier weather for the first couple of days of the week.

More sunshine returns mid-week and holds on through the rest of the week and weekend, according to the National Weather Service.

It will feel a bit like fall at night with temperatures falling into the mid 50s.
