2 Break Into Ex-Boyfriend's House, Assault Woman: PD

Two women face assault and burglary charges.

One woman, along with a co-conspirator, entered her ex-boyfriend's house in Bellmore without permission and assaulted a woman who was there in May, police say.

According to authorities, 25-year-old Franklin Square resident Kathryn Johnson and 26-year-old Lynbrook resident Amanda Campos entered Johnson's ex-boyfriend's Farmers Avenue residence and started hitting a 23-year-old woman who was there at 9:23 p.m. on Thursday, May 24.

Police say the women dragged the 23-year-old to the front porch, where they continued to hit her. They then fled the scene on foot, police say.

The 23-year-old woman was taken to a local hospital for injuries suffered to her nose, hand and face.

Johnson was arrested on Saturday, May 26 without incident and was charged with first-degree burglary and third-degree assault. She was arraigned the next day at First District Court in Hempstead.

Campos was arrested on Wednesday, Aug. 8 at 10:45 p.m. without incident. She was charged with first-degree burglary and third-degree assault. She will be arraigned on Thursday at First District Court.
