- Neighborhood Watch Program: Officer Sharon Galvin of Nassau County
- Home Alarm Discussion: Ian Zaslansky of Marlarm
CURRENT & FUTURE PROJECTS AROUND TOWN:
- 150+ Potholes filled on the JFK peninsula in the last 2.5 weeks (sbca put in a request with the Town of Hempstead to fully repave South St. Marks & West Alder, they’re going to investigate both locations.)
- New trash cans along Merrick Road (Bellmore Post Office, Bayview Drive & Sycamore Avenue)
- Legion Street has a u-shaped beach owned by the TOH and it’s fallen into disrepair.
- We’re working with the Town on updating it and possibly make it private again for the residents.
- NEW Mill Pond sign (waiting to hear from multiple landscapers regarding planting this spring, approved by the County)
- Mill Pond fence REPAIRED
- NEW Street signs on Boundary Court & Lee Place.
- An additional 10 MPH sign installed for speeders
- Beautification Committee Teams forming (please stay afterwards for more details)
- Tree planting Team (Merrick Road)
- Flower planting Team (Around town)
- Business Award Program Team
- Maintenance in the neighborhood Team
- Mill Pond clean up Team
FUTURE PROJECTS AROUND TOWN:
- Communication between Senator Fuschillo’s office (Tim Ellis & Lainie Altman) regarding the abandoned homes on Beach, Clubhouse, Alder & Barbara
- Appoint a Bellmore Resident to be the liaison between parents and the school board regarding safety in our schools. (discuss Merrick’s plan for 3 elementary schools new safety system).
- Neighborhood entrance Signs on Bellmore Ave, South St. Marks, Park Place or Leffers Place.
