Landscaper Electrocuted, Killed In Nassau: Police

BELLMORE, NY — A landscaper died after being electrocuted in Bellmore Thursday, police said.

According to Nassau County police, the incident took place at 5:30 p.m.

First precinct officers responded to a Tanwood Court residence for an aided case, detectives said.

Upon arrival, it was determined that a male landscaper was cutting down a tree when a downed limb struck an electrical line, causing the tree to become energized, police said.

As a result, he was electrocuted; a Nassau County police medic pronounced him dead at the scene, police said.

The investigation is ongoing, police said.
