• Electrical fire breaks out at Bellmore home on Saint Marks Avenue (liherald.com) — Firefighters from Bellmore and neighboring departments quickly contained an electrical fire Sunday night at an unoccupied home on Saint Marks Avenue between Clarendon Street and Merrick Road. Crews attacked flames in the basement electrical panel, ventilated heavy smoke, and checked for hidden fire while Bellmore-Merrick EMS and mutual aid companies provided medical support and station coverage.
   

• 'Ghostbusters in Concert' coming to Tilles Center (newsday.com) — Long Island Ghostbusters fans can head to Brookville's Tilles Center on Oct. 20 for a live-orchestra screening of the original film, complete with costume contest and photo ops. Bellmore resident and former NYPD officer Joe Cirillo, who appeared in "Ghostbusters," will be on hand alongside a replica Ectomobile and a cosplay charity group.
