Armed Man Robs Nassau Convenience Store: Police

Police say he grabbed cash from the register and then ran off. Do you know who he is?

Nassau police are searching for a man who robbed a 7-Eleven in North Bellmore at gunpoint early Wednesday morning.

According to police, the man entered the 7-Eleven at 2259 Jerusalem Ave. at 3 a.m. and pulled out a handgun. He pointed it at the 25-year-old clerk and demanded cash from the register. The clerk gave him money, and the man then fled on foot east on Jerusalem Avenue.

Police say the robber was in his 20s, wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, black pants and black sneakers with a white stripe. He is approximately 170 pounds and wore a light-colored bandanna over his face.
