Bellmore House Fire; 1 Victim Hospitalized With Smoke Inhalation: Cops
Approximately 75 firefighters were on the scene of a blaze Thursday at a home on Martin Avenue.
BELLMORE, NY — Firefighters battled a blaze in Bellmore on Thursday evening.
Officers safely removed residents from the home at 2782 Martin Avenue.
One victim, a 42-year-old woman, was treated at a hospital for smoke inhalation.

The home had smoke and flames coming from the rear of the building.
North Bellmore, North Merrick, Merrick and Wantagh fire departments provided mutual aid to the Bellmore Fire Department.

Approximately 75 firefighters were on the scene for just over an hour, the Bellmore Fire Department said. The building suffered severe structural damage along with varying degrees of smoke, fire and water damage. The Nassau County Fire Marshall is investigating.
