Bellmore House Fire Spreads To Neighboring Property
All residents evacuated safely from Judith Drive homes, police said.
BELLMORE, NY — A fire engulfed two houses in Bellmore on Wednesday. A 34-year-old male was notified by a neighbor that his Judith Drive home was on fire.
Just after 5:30 p.m, all residents exited safely and no one was injured, police said.
The fire spread to the adjoining property, and everyone was safely evacuated as well.

The Bellmore Fire Department handled the blaze with assistance from the Merrick, Seaford and Wantagh, North Merrick and East Meadow fire departments.
The Red Cross was working with assisting displaced families.

Arson detectives and the Nassau County Fire Marshal's office are investigating.
The fire was brought under control in about an hour, with additional dousing keeping units on the scene until about 8 p.m., the Bellmore Fire Department wrote on its Facebook page.
