Nassau Heroin Dealer Arrested: Police

The 23-year-old was arrested near a LIRR station on Tuesday afternoon. He had 400 bags of heroin on him, police say.

BELLMORE, NY - A Bellmore man faces felony drug charges after he was caught with 400 glassine bags of heroin Tuesday afternoon, Nassau Police said.

After police received several complaints from residents regarding the sale of narcotics in the Bellmore-area, an investigation was launched that led to the arrest of 23-year-old Anthony Trentacosta on Pettit Avenue near the Bellmore Long Island Rail Road station at about 4:10 p.m. Tuesday, police said.

Trentacosta is charged with criminal possession of a narcotic drug with intent to distribute and third degree criminal sale of controlled substance.

He was arraigned in First District Court in Hempstead on Wednesday and is being held on $25,000 cash bail or $50,000 bond. He is due back in court on Friday.
