Bellmore-Merrick CSD Honors its Veterans
Students built a special wall to honor all veterans, and those from the MAP program.

In recognition of Veterans Day, the Meadowbrook Alternative Program in the Bellmore-Merrick Central High School District dedicated its Wall of Military Service.
Three MAP graduates are currently serving in the Armed Forces: Eric Montana, Class of 2016, Marines; Sohail Barak, Class of 2014, Army; and Daniel Healey, Class of 2014, Army.
“War veterans from the Jewel Quinn Senior Citizen Center, which shares a campus with the program, were invited to the ribbon cutting,” said Principal Susan Ellinghaus. “They also shared their stories from World War II, the Korean War and the Vietnam War.”
