Bellmore Merrick School District to Host Second Annual 5K Run/Walk

The event will take place in April.

BELLMORE, NY - The Bellmore-Merrick Central High School District announced they will be hosting its second annual “One Voice, One Message” Super Hero 5K Run/Walk next month.

The event will take place on April 16 starting at 9 a.m. at Grand Avenue Middle School.

Registration begins at 7:30 a.m.

The race will be organized by the school district’s student ambassadors and this year’s theme is super heroes.

Participants are encouraged to wear costumes.

“All six schools within the district will be a part of this worthwhile cause to unite the district through community service,” Dr. Mara Bollettieri, assistant superintendent of personnel said.

Registration is $20, per person.

Proceeds will benefit Plan International, an organization that helps to provide clean drinking water to developing countries.
