Bellmore School Election Results Are In
Find out if the budget passed and who won seats on the Board of Education.

The results are in for all of the Bellmore school districts, and the budget for the North Bellmore School District did not pass.
The Bellmore School District budget passed, with 416 yes votes to 227 no.
In North Bellmore, however, the budget did not pass. It needed 60 percent of the vote, but only received 51.8 percent: 1.322 yes to 1,231 no.

And in the Bellmore-Merrick Central High School District passed, 3,333 to 2,066.

For the Bellmore School District, incumbents Marion Blane and Brian Desmond ran unopposed. They received 407 and 418 votes, respectively.
In North Bellmore, incumbents Nina Lanci and Melissa Cmar-Grote were reelected to their seats with 1,170 and 1,119 votes, respectively. Challengers Tara Casucci and Jeannie Shipman received 1,072 and 543 votes, respectively.
For ballot initiatives, residents in North Bellmore overwhelmingly opted not to make any changes to its current transportation system.
Residents in Bellmore approved a ballot initiative to to create a new capital reserve fund, with 432 yes to 200 no.
In the CHSD, voters also overwhelming approved the creation of a capital reserve fund, 3,741 to 1,600.
