Linda Doherty, originally from North Bellmore, moved into her new Fort Myers, Florida apartment a few months ago.

NORTH BELLMORE, NY — The devastation of Hurricane Ian is causing one local woman to start a fundraiser.
Dana Brandes, who lives in North Bellmore, created a GoFundMe page to help her high school friend Linda Doherty, who "lost everything" from Ian.
Brandes said in the GoFundMe description that her friend had moved into her new apartment in Fort Myers, Florida just a few months ago.
