Bicyclist Sought For Assaulting Boy: Police
The 13-year-old victim had a bruised eye and cuts to his stomach and legs, police say.
BELLMORE, NY — An assault involving a child took place over the weekend in Bellmore, police said.
Officers responded to the parking lot of Newbridge Road Elementary School on Sunday afternoon and discovered a 13-year-old boy with swelling and bruising on his right eye, police said.
The boy also suffered lacerations to his stomach and legs.

The victim, who was riding his bike, was approached by a man, also on a bike. According to detectives, the man slammed his bicycle into the victim, causing him to fall. The victim was struck several times in the face with a bike, before the man fled on Newbridge Road, police said.
The victim was treated and sent home.

Police have released photos of the person they are seeking for the crime.
