Blood Drive Coming To Bellmore Wednesday
Saw Mill Road Elementary School will host the community event for the New York Blood Center.
NORTH BELLMORE, NY — With an urgent need for blood across the area, Nassau County Legislators Steve Rhoads and Tom McKevitt are joining with the New York Blood Center in urging residents to donate.
The community blood drive is scheduled for Wednesday from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Saw Mill Road Elementary School in North Bellmore.
Appointments are preferred, although walk-ins are welcome if capacity allows.

Among the COVID-19 guidelines in place are:
- All blood donors must wear a face covering and have their temperature taken.
- Donors must be symptom-free from COVID-19 for 14 days to give blood.
- They must not have tested positive in the past two weeks.
- No one will be permitted to donate if they came in contact with someone who tested positive within the last 14 days.
