Calhoun Student Invited To Present At Science Symposium
She was the only high school student invited to the event.

BELLMORE, NY - From Syntax: Courtney Lange, a senior in Bellmore-Merrick Central High School District’s Sanford H. Calhoun High School's Advanced Science Research program, was invited to present at the 2017 NYU Health Disparities Symposium, held on Oct. 12 at New York University.
Lange was the only high school student invited. She assisted with the construction of the poster board and she presented her summer research titled “Designing an online intervention to promote awareness about obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) among blacks: The Tailored Approach to Sleep Health Education (TASHE) study.”
Lange’s presentation received the Top Student Paper Award and her research is currently being submitted for publication.
