Capital One Bank, a leading provider of a broad array of financial products and services to consumers, small businesses and commercial clients and proponent of building strong and healthy communities is giving back to the community with a donation of $2500.00 to Your Time For Creative Empowerment, Inc.
Your Time For Creative Empowerment, Inc. was founded in August 2012, and has offered programs to Long Island’s youth and families that prepare them for the social aspect of college readiness and increase their ability to navigate the challenges and pitfalls of life by using innovative methods that incorporate the arts, fashion and culture.
Funds donated to and raised by the organization help with their Creative Empowerment Arts Contest scholarship initiative, as well as, the implementation of yearly programs and activities that are made available to youth and parents in the Long Island area. These include the upcoming Community Networking Soiree, Self-Empowering Workshop for College-Bound Students and Get Set Mindset Workshop for 8th through 10th grade students (see details on website: www.yourtime4liny.org). Over the past 2 years, the organization has awarded $7,500 in scholarships to winners of their Creative Empowerment Arts Contest. In order for Your Time For Creative Empowerment Inc. to continue this annual college scholarship initiative and to have the resources for the operational cost of its programs, a constant flow of donation dollars in additional to the organization’s fundraising efforts is critical.
