I personally feel we needed this type of a car long ago in order to reduce automobile accidents in the world to a great extent. Every day, over 80 people die in road accidents in USA alone. If most car enthusiasts would drive this kind of “Attention Powered Car” then at least we can safely travel on the road without fearing of getting crushed under the wheels of a four-wheeler!
The Technology - EPOC

Royal Automobile Club has teamed up with Emotiv to create this trendy car. Emotiv, the creator of a wide range of electroencephalography (EEG technology)-based monitoring gears, have come up with a unique headset known as EPOC. You need to wear this headset before starting your car. EPOC consists of 14 saline sensors to measure the change in your brain activities. The headset is connected to customized software installed within the car. If you, at any point of time, become inattentive due to some reason, the headset sensors will send an instant signal to the software to lessen the speed of your car to around 9 mph till you become alert enough to drive your vehicle with care.
Hyundai i40 will attain its full driving capacity only after it senses you are driving in full consciousness with absolute concentration on your tasks.
