Cashier Thwarts Rite Stop Attempted Robbery
After refusing to give the suspect money, the cashier chased the man down Newbridge Road.

A man that attempted to rob Rite Stop at knifepoint Sunday was stopped by the cashier, cops said.
According to police, at 10:20 p.m. Sunday, the male suspect entered Rite Stop, which is located at 1445 Newbridge Rd., and displayed a knife. He demanded money from the cashier, but the 56-year-old victim refused.
"The victim refused and chased the subject out of the store through the parking lot north bound on Newbridge Road where he lost sight of the subject," cops said.

The suspect is described by police as a male Indian with an accent, approximately five-foot-five, 20-25 years old and wearing dark clothing.
There were no proceeds stolen, and no injuries were reported, police added.
