Cops: Man Shot in Front of Roosevelt Home

Nassau County Police are searching for witnesses to an assault that sent a man to the hospital with gunshot wounds.

Officers were called to a Horace Avenue home in Roosevelt after a report that a man had been shot. The 27-year-old victim was found in front of the home with a gunshot wound in his abdomen, cops said.

Detectives believe the victim was walking south on Horace Avenue at 5 a.m. Friday when the assault happened.

The victim was rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment, police said. His status was not reported.
