Drug Take-Back Event Planned In Bellmore

BELLMORE, NY — A drug take-back event is planned next month in Bellmore. Members of the community are invited to drive up to Grand Avenue Middle School on Oct. 26, drop off unused and unwanted medications, and drive away.

The take-back event, scheduled to take place from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., is meant to protect kids, families and the environment.

Drugs should be kept in original containers with names blocked out for anonymity. Information about the medications should be left intact.

Illegal drugs can be dropped off anonymously, and syringes and sharps will be accepted.

Thermometers, IV bags, liquids and chemotherapy drugs will not be accepted.
