Annual Adopt-A-Pet Fair and Rabies Clinic

This annual Rabies Vaccination Clinic is being held in partnership with the Long Island Veterinary Medical Association. Please register your pets in advance by calling 785-5220.

There is a $10 fee (CASH ONLY) per vaccination and a limit of three pets vaccinated per household. Pregnant pets cannot be vaccinated. For the safety of all participants, cats must be brought in carriers and dogs must be leashed.
All dogs must be licensed in order to receive a rabies vaccination. Bring the current license with you to the program, or the purchase of a new license will be required.

The Town Clerk's Office will be on hand to issue dog licenses. The cost of a license for a non-neutered male or a non-spayed female dog is $10.50. The cost of a license for a neutered male or spayed female dog is $2.50.

Spay/neuter certificates must be submitted as proof. For further information about dog licenses, please call the Town Clerk's office during normal business hours at (516) 489-5000 ext. 3033.

There will also be free pet adoptions at the Pet Fair. Your new pet will receive free immunizations, and all adoption fees will be waived! All adopted pets will be microchipped and will receive free spaying or neutering. You only have to pay a nominal state license fee for dogs.

You can also have your own pet microchipped at the fair for a $25 fee.
