You are cordially invited to join My Time Has Come™ Program and other Nassau County residents for Creative Conversations and Artistic Expressions - a free art & culture-inspired event for the whole family - in recognition of American for the Arts’ National Arts & Humanities Month.
This intergenerational celebration is open to all residents of the Town of Hempstead and Long Island residents as a whole; who will get to celebrate the rich cultural heritage of Long Island, as they engage in hands-on collaboration with our Program Facilitator, Madona Cole-Lacy, to create a giant multi-cultural wall art which will serve as a travelling exhibit. Participants and guests will also get to share their thoughts on the significance of the arts and culture on Long Island in light of the drastic cuts and elimination of the arts in many schools and community organizations. Those in attendance will also get to enjoy performances by area performing artists.
