Denenberg Sewage Privatization Meeting

Legislator Denenberg invites NCMCA Pres. Borecky on behalf of the We the People Save Our Waters Coalition to join him in his presentation on the County Executive's Plan to Privatize our Sewage Treatment Plants. If you haven't had a chance to attend one of these presentations, it is worth coming. Your eyes will be opened to the whole story of this scheme to basically refinance our low interest debt with sewer tax increases every year for the next 20-30 years AND a separate sewer bill that we will get in the mail (just like American Water) with all its nifty taxes and surcharges to go with it. Just when you think it's all over, it comes back strong. The operator is chosen. It's United Water and the County is now looking at a dozen bids that came in from investors to invest in our profitable sewage treatment plants. Who wouldn't invest in a guaranteed return every month from a bill that is actually based on our water usage. Time is running out. Come learn more about this proposal and about the Blue Ribbon Plan that We the People have for the future of our sewage treatment plants. Help me save our assets and prevent the corporate theft of our tax dollars.
