Paul Joseph Jazz Quartet performs jazz renditions of some of Jerome Kern’s most sophisticated songs: “All the Things You Are,” “Yesterdays,” and “The Way You Look Tonight,” written late in a career which began early in the last century and continued after his landmark score for Showboat. Kern never stopped learning, from formal studies in Europe to new musical techniques being developed by his contemporaries as the American musical came of age.
Pianist/composer Paul Joseph will be joined by Mike Corn on drums, Edgar Mills on bass, and Susan Mitchell on violin.
