JFK High School to Present Damn Yankees

JFK High School Drama Club will present the musical Damn Yankees on March 23  and 24  at 7:30 P.M. and on March 24 at 2:00 P.M. in the school auditorium. The story centers around middle-aged baseball fanatic Joe Boyd who trades his soul to the Devil (the charming but devious Mr. Applegate) for a chance to lead his favorite team to victory in the pennant race against the New York Yankees. As young baseball sensation Joe Hardy, he transforms the hapless Washington Senators into a winning team, only to realize the true worth of the life he's left behind.  Damn Yankees, which features such songs as Heart, Whatever Lola Wants and Two Lost Souls, is a home-run hit whose all-American subject matter and irreverent sense of humor have delighted theater and sports fans for many years. Tickets will be available at the door.
