Meet the "EASEL" Artists

A reception to meet members of the town's Experienced Art Students Enrichment League (EASEL) artists whose work is on display takes place this afternoon.

Original paintings and sketches created by members of EASEL are on display throughout the month of March, from March 2 to 31 at the Garden City Public Library.

"EASEL is a daytime art league, coordinated through the Town of Hempstead Department of Senior Enrichment," Supervisor Murray said. "It is a workshop designed to meet the needs of our dynamic seniors who have had previous experience in the field of art. Their agenda includes demonstrations, an opportunity to work in one's medium, as well as discussions and museum trips."

"I invite everyone in the neighborhood to stop by and view the artwork and take the opportunity to meet the artists," said Councilman Ed Ambrosino. "In addition, I encourage senior residents who have such creative skills to take advantage of the opportunity to practice their artistry weekly in EASEL's creative, relaxed atmosphere."
