Registration takes place at the Merrick Road Park Golf Clubhouse in Merrick for Town of Hempstead Department of Parks & Recreation's daytime adult tennis lessons to be held at Newbridge Road Park in Bellmore as follows:
- Beginner - held from September 19 through October 24 (no class Oct. 10).
- Intermediate - held from September 20 through October 20.
Both levels of play are offered with the choice of two sessions -- 10 to 11 a.m. or 11 a.m. to 12 noon.
The cost is $35 (half price for veterans and seniors); check or money order only.

Players must be 18 years of age or older, provide their own tennis rackets and tennis balls. Choice of hours is on first come, first served basis.
Registration for Tuesday or Thursday evening sessions takes place at the Merrick Road Park Clubhouse also on Wednesday, September 14 from 7 to 8 p.m.
