New York Islanders are hosting this fourth annual event during which youth hockey teams match up in cross-ice games on the Coliseum ice, including those from Newbridge Arena in Bellmore.
Long Island' s only major recreational ice hockey tournament will feature over 70 house league teams from 12 different rinks across Long Island and Westchester County. Other ice hockey rinks participating alongside Newbridge Arena are The Rinx in Hauppauge, Superior Ice Rink in Kings Park, Andrew Stergiopoulos Ice Rink in Great Neck, Cantiague Park in Hicksville, Islanders Iceworks in Syosset, Port Washington Skating Center, Freeport Arrows Youth Hockey, Ice Arena in Long Beach, Aviator Sports in Brooklyn, The Westchester Mariners Hockey Program and the Brewster Ice Arena.
Over 1,000 mini-mites (ages 4-6), mites (ages 7-8) and squirts (ages 9-10) will participate in ten-minute games throughout the day with the enforcement of USA Hockey standards throughout all games.

Over the past 15 years, Long Island has produced nine National Hockey League players, including Matt Gilroy (from Bellmore), Chris Higgins, Mike Komisarek and Rob Scuderi.
