
The Pan-Long Island Challenge (PANLIC) is a call to all bicyclists on Long Island, the NYC metro area, and throughout the USA and internationally to challenge themselves to undertake a 100-mile scenic and fun bike ride dedicated to raising money for skin cancer research, prevention of skin disease and skin health promotion/education.
PANLIC raises money for the American Skin Association (ASA), a world class organization working towards cures for all skin cancers and other serious forms of skin disease by:
- Advancing research
- Raising public awareness
- Championing good skin health - particularly among children.

- The event takes place rain or shine.
- The 100 mile route begins in Wantagh at the Long Island Railroad (LIRR) train station and travels northeast through Nassau County into Western/ mid-Suffolk County. The ride is mainly flat with no major hills. The ride ends at East Hampton High School, 2 Long Lane, East Hampton, New York 11937.
- At the finish, a celebratory lunch will be provided for all riders and volunteers.
- Mandatory Requirements for Participation • Helmets (US CPSC-approved) must be worn riding. • Headphones, iPods, and radios are not permitted while riding.
- In order to ride in the Pan-Long Island Challenge, all participants must complete the Registration form and the PARTICIPANT RELEASE OF LIABILITY AND ASSUMPTION OF RISK form.
