Nassau County Executive Edward Mangano, in conjunction with Legislator Norma Gonsalves, has arranged to bring the Department of Assessment office operations to the library. Patrons will be able to get assistance in filing or learning more about the property tax exemptions they may be eligible for.
Homeowners who will be filing for an exemption can help expedite the processing of their application by bringing copies of any documentation that is required for the property tax exemption they are applying for.
