Stand-up Comedy by JP Justice, AKA Jimique

The comedian performs.

This 20-year veteran has established himself as a versatile comedian.  His keen sense of audience observation is Seinfeldesque, enhancing his ability to make jokes about anything, under any circumstances.

JP JUSTICE was familiar with hard times, and the only thing helping him cope was his ability to make folks laugh.  Born into a large family, there was always an audience, and he practiced often.  Not surprising, JP JUSTICE’s switch to the big stage was only a matter of time once he overcame many of life’s small tangents.  It was an insightful trip JP JUSTICE took to Africa, at the age of 18, that caused him to take a new look at his life and decide to complete high school.  While attending a New York City college, he finally realized comedy was his calling, and that is when his career began.

JP JUSTICE is swift with snaps and handles hecklers with ease.  These capabilities landed him his first big break in 1996, when the world famousApollo Theater asked him to host their Amateur Night.  During this rotation, he sharpened his skills and gained recognition as one of New York’s greatest hosts.  He then went on to lead a variety of shows to success; including writing comedy for then popular 98.7 Kiss FM’s (New York) radio morning show with Isaac Hayes and Friends. Shortly after, JP JUSTICE created and co-produced a racy weekly stage variety show called “Wha Da Family”.  He was head writer, producer and cast member; proving that live variety shows were still a viable format.  JP JUSTICE was also the host of the nucleus of black comedy clubs in NYC, The Uptown Comedy Club.
