Supervisor's Cup Golf Classic

The 4th Annual Supervisor's Cup Golf Classic takes place today.

Tee-off time on October 5 is 10 a.m.

Also, the rain date is set for Wednesday, October 12.

"The Supervisor's Cup has been polished, primed and readied for presentation to this year's winning foursome," said Supervisor Murray. "In just 'fore' short years, the golf tournament has become one of the signature events on the town's recreational calendar."

Preregistered golfers will play 18 holes of tournament golf, a bucket of balls for the driving range, continental breakfast, afternoon barbeque, motorized golf cart, on-course refreshments, goody bag, awards and photographs.

During the round of golf, there will be contests for "Four Player Scramble," "Men's & Women's Closest to the Pin," "Men's & Women's Most Accurate Drive" and "Men's & Women's Longest Drive." A handsome "Supervisor's Cup" trophy will be presented to the winning foursome.

Supervisor's Cup participant applications were be chosen by lottery. Golfers will be asked to present photo identification at the morning's check-in. Golfers who are selected as alternates will be used to replace early withdrawals or no shows on the day of the event.

Town of Hempstead employees, their spouses and children are not eligible to participate in this event. The tournament is open to Town of Hempstead residents only.
