NORTH BELLMORE, NY — Two grandparents have been displaced after a fire tore through their home on Saturday evening, fire marshals said.

Nassau County Fire Marshal's Office said the North Bellmore FD received the call at 6 p.m. When the NBFD arrived, the 2-story home was fully engulfed in the fire, and a second alarm was transmitted, fire marshals said.

Approximately 120 firefighters were on scene at the Logue Street residence, fire marshals said.

Mutual aid fire departments were on scene to assist, including from Bellmore, Merrick, North Merrick, East Meadow, Wantagh, Seaford, and Uniondale– all fire operations were under the command of Chief White of NBFD, fire marshals said.
