Those waiting for a new business to move to the property that once hosted the East Bay Diner are going to have to wait longer.
According to Susie Trenkle-Pokalsky, a spokeswoman for the Town of Hempstead, a demo permit was taken out in October, and then in December, they were told they needed to fill the hole.
Since then, all has been quiet on the property, which is located at 2405 Merrick Rd. in Bellmore.
“They do not have any permits for any construction right now,” Trenkle-Pokalsky said.
